What A Strange Trip It Has Been

It has been over 4 years since father and son started rolling dice and recording them on an iPhone. I can look back at the old footage and his hands were so small.

This has been an incredible journey for me as a parent and a fellow hobbyist. I never thought of continuing the project to what it is today but it’s just so much fun.

In 2020, Miniature Game Montage was founded on YouTube with the goal of making narrative style battle reports that tell a story. The channel has expanded into beginner friendly painting guides, product reviews, and more.

As we move through 2024 and the brand gains more exposure in working with miniature companies and brands I’m consistently reminded of my ethos. It has never been about being the first to do something or getting clicks. It was never about financial return. It has been and will always be about painting miniatures, playing games and sharing my love of the hobby with you.

Mark Twain once said, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That quote resonates with me. Compared to my normal job, the financial return from my hobby work is miniscule. It is, however, the most rewarding and doesn’t feel like work at all.
